Travel for FREE, Actually! - TravelFree.organic

Our website has its name for a reason: For free, we provide you with the contact information of people who have offered to host travelers in their homes, that is for free, meaning free travel, free lodging, making friends, traveling the human and organic way, instead of staying at resort and hotels. If the idea of staying for free in private homes turns you off, you can go ahead and book your discount vacation here.

TravelFree.organic is for anyone who prefers private, friendly accommodation while saving money over the luxurious hotels and vacation packages available on the market. You can virtually (and actually!) travel for free as a member of TravelFree.organic.

Free - How can that be? It works as simple as that:
You fill in the form online with your contact information and 3 references. TravelFree.org calls the references to make sure you are safe to be around. Once you pass the reference check, you are a member, and that means you agree to hosting other members for free at your home once in a while, and can stay for free at other members' homes - all across North America, and soon all around the world.

Membership is free, contacting other members for hosting/lodging requests is free (includes 2 free contacts, plus you earn free travel by referring new members). This is based on mutual benefit, and reciprocal lodging exchange. You can travel for free by giving other people who are just as nice as you the opportunity to do the same, and stay for free at your home.

How do I earn free travel contacts by referring new members?
Every new member who enters your membership number in the referral box in the sign-up form automatically boosts your account with one extra free contact. This free contact will be added to your account upon approval of the new member.

Do I have to host other travelers?
By becoming a member, you do agree to host other travelers at your home once in a while. However, if you are unavailable for certain dates, you are completely free to say no to a hosting request. Also, it is fine to travel first, and then host afterwards. However, if you consistently refuse to host other people, your membership will be discontinued.

How do I contact a member who can host me?
You specify your travel location (city), and we provide you with the phone number and email address of a member who lives there. It's as simple as that, and it's also the way that other members can contact you.

I am confused - What's all this in short?
You sign up for free to become a member (no fees whatsoever), and can then contact 2 other members to arrange your free accomodation with them. Also, every time you refer a new member (which is easy because it's a FREE membership; just tell your friends), you earn 1 free contact. As well, if this does not suffice for your travel plans, you can purchase additional contacts if you want.

What happens, if a member who I contacted refuses to host me?
If a member blatantly refuses to host you at any time, that member is violating the membership agreement, and will get kicked out. Please email us to notify us of those "bad members", so we can investigate the situation and give you a free contact, since you do not want your contacts to go to waste.
If the member is unavailable on certain dates but has offered to host you on other dates, nothing will happen. You have to be a little flexible. It's all about everybody's enjoyment. If a member has been contacted so many times by other members that he or she is kind of overloaded, this important information will be available to you before you choose to contact somebody.
